Jaisalmer: The 59th Balidan Diwas ceremony of Amar Shaheed Poonam Singh Bhati, the son of Jaisan land, was celebrated on the martyr’s birthplace Habur (Poonamnagar). People paid tributes to Shaheed Poonam Singh Bhati on his Balidan Diwas. He had killed 8 Pakistani Rangers together with a Pak commander within the 1965 warfare. However, he himself sacrificed his life whereas preventing within the warfare.
Villager Shaitan Singh informed that Poonam Singh Bhati was posted along with his seven companions on the border publish Bhuto Wali within the Indo-Pak warfare of 1965. He has been a satyagrahi of the landowner motion: Villager Jalam Singh informed that Poonam Singh was born on 16 June 1940 in the home of Jai Singh of village Habur. Poonam Singh was courageous since childhood.
