A violent incident marred the Sharad Purnima celebrations organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) within the Karni Vihar space of Jaipur late Thursday evening. The occasion, which included a communal feast of kheer, turned chaotic when a dispute arose between RSS staff and residents.
The bother started at a Shiv temple the place RSS members had been celebrating the competition with chants of ‘Jai Shree Ram’. A close-by resident objected to the noise, prompting RSS staff to reply with the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa. This escalation led to the arrival of a father-son duo who, armed with knives, launched an assault on the gathering.
As a consequence, 7 to eight RSS staff suffered severe accidents and had been rushed to the hospital for remedy. Following the violence, protests erupted within the space, prompting authorities to deploy a heavy police presence in Karni Vihar to keep up regulation and order.
Senior BJP chief and former MLA Arun Chaturvedi condemned the assault, stating that armed assailants infiltrated the celebration and commenced assaulting attendees. He assured that these liable for the violence would face strict penalties.
Rajasthan’s Cabinet Minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, visited the injured within the hospital, expressing concern for his or her wellbeing. He confirmed that there can be an intensive investigation and stringent motion towards the attackers.
The incident has raised tensions locally, with residents and political leaders calling for peace and backbone amidst the unrest.
