Worship of cow and calf on Bach Baras (ETV Bharat Barmer)
Barmer: Bachh Baras pageant is being celebrated with nice enthusiasm in the entire of Rajasthan together with Barmer. On Saturday, ladies in Barmer celebrated Bachh Baras by worshipping the cow and calf. Along with this, auspicious needs have been made by circumambulating across the cow.
On Saturday, in numerous streets, mohallas and cow shelters together with Agrawal Mohalla, Kalyanpur of the town, ladies worshipped the cow and calf and coated them with a chunari on Bachh Baras. Along with this, the ladies prayed for happiness, prosperity and well-being. After listening to the story of the cow, the ladies worshipped the calf of the cow by singing auspicious songs with rituals. Along with this, they prayed by circumambulating across the cow. An environment of nice enthusiasm was seen among the many ladies concerning the pageant of Bachh Baras.

Local girl Manju Saraf mentioned that on the day of Bachh Baras, cow and calf are worshipped. Son’s mom and married ladies have fun this pageant. It is believed that worshipping cow and its calf results in lengthy lifetime of the son. Apart from this, ladies pray for the beginning of a son. There can be a perception that this worship can be carried out for good rain. She mentioned that on this present day greens are usually not lower with knife in the home. Bajri roti and moth vegetable are made and eaten. Deepika Bansal mentioned that on the day of Bachh Baras, together with cow worship, we take heed to the story of Gau Mata. In the night, we eat meals earlier than the cows return dwelling from the fields. She mentioned that cow worship on Bachh Baras has nice significance.
