(Reuters) – Stellantis system FCA United States consented to pay $4.2 million to settle a California examination proper into extra exhausts, the state claimed on Monday.

The California Air Resources Board (CARBOHYDRATE) said the automobiles lined by the negotiation include 2014 with 2016 Ram ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 automobiles outfitted with 3.0 L diesel motor.

The state claimed the automobiles had an unauthorized gadget that prevented exhausts management and triggered nearly 55 a lot of extra oxides of nitrogen being launched proper into the air. Stellantis in 2022 paid a $5.6 million negotiation for comparable claims entailing gas-powered automobiles.
